We’re excited to announce a new AAU basketball opportunity this spring for 7th and 8th-grade boys on Bainbridge Island! This team will participate in the City of Poulsbo’s spring league in collaboration with SKYAA (South Kitsap Youth Athletics Association). In addition to the league games, we plan to compete in 1–2 weekend tournaments in Seattle, with details still being finalized.

We are three passionate volunteer coaches—Corin McDonald, Trevor Ross, and Steven Rich—who recently wrapped up the winter season with a 7/8 grade team through BIRC (in partnership with the City of Poulsbo). With no spring basketball offered through BIRC, we created this independent AAU team to keep these dedicated players on the court. To help manage team operations, including fee collection and gym rentals, we’ve also established a WA State non-profit organization Hoop Miracles.

Currently, we have 7 committed players from our winter team and are looking for 3–4 additional boys in 7th or 8th grade to join us. This is a direct invitation-only opportunity, and we are seeking immediate verbal or written commitments from parents and players.

• First Practice: Tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, 202%
• Practices: Mondays & Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:30 PM
  • Subject to change based on the game schedule
• Season Duration: Through the first week of June
• Games: Mondays through Thursdays, starting after 5:00 PM
• Practice Location: Likely at Sakai Gymnasium (final location to be confirmed)
• Game Locations: Poulsbo and North Kitsap County
• Tournaments: Considering 1–2 weekend AAU tournaments in Seattle this spring
   

• AAU Membership Fee: $22 per player
   
• Team Fee: Approximately $250 per player
  • Covers league registration, gym rentals, uniforms, and other necessary expenses
  • Our goal is to keep the total player fee at or below $250
